One of my very favorite used book purchases ever. Got these at a university library sale where I used to work. They were selling hardbacks for a dollar and paperbacks for fifty cents, so I got this five volume nicely boxed set for $2.50. This was the same sale where I got Will and Ariel Durant’s eleven volume Story of Civilization for $11. Anyway, currently checking out the article “Ambiguity as Aesthetic Principle.” Saturday night, everybody!

So sometimes when the fluorescent tube lights in your kitchen flicker and go out and your apartment complex (which is responsible for them) is pretty terrible about replacing them, you find yourself dangling a tiny flashlight from your ear while you scrub dishes for your nightly beans and rice.
